Beginner’s Basics at Home Online Program

Interested in trying yoga but hesitant to take the first step? Join Jennifer Sweigart for a on online series that demystifies the postures of the practice and the basics of yoga philosophy. This program will begin on Monday, 6/15. The program will consist of:

4- 30 minute pre-recorded classes. 

1- 30 minute Zoom meeting each Thursaday to address any questions and discuss additional yoga topics. 

The recordings will be released each Monday giving you time to practice before our chat! We will make adjustments around the July 4th holiday if necessary.

The series will include the following:

Recording 1, 6/15- The process of creating a quiet mind for a yoga practice. Spinal anatomy and general warm up at the beginning of class. We will cover: (1) what to expect from a yoga class, (2) why we focus on the breath, (3) the benefits of yoga, and (4) yoga vocabulary.

Recording 2, 6/22- We will break down the postures of sun salutations and learn why they are they foundation of our yoga practice.

Recording 3, 6/29- We will continue to build on the foundation of our class adding standing and seated postures and those necessary to complete a sequence.

Recording 4, 7/6- Tying it all together. Linking the Mind, body and breath to complete a Beginner’s practice.

Zoom meetings will occur at on Thursday, 6/18, 6/25, 7/2 and 7/9 at 7:30pm.

This is a great opportunity for those brand new to yoga, or those who want to brush up on alignment and expand general knowledge of yoga philosophy. It would also make a great gift!
