Breathe and Read w/Kate Lyles

Join us for this Book Club event as we gather to discuss James Nestor's NY Times Bestselling book, Breath: The New Science of a Lost Art. Simultaneously an exploration of scientific research, a historical account, a hero's journey, and a moving call to action, Breath unpacks the ways in which we as humans have strayed from the life-giving and life-changing art of breathing. We will gather to practice pranayama (or breathwork, a practice of breathing that develops control of our life-force energy: prana), discuss James Nestor's book, and enjoy tea and light snacks.

When: Sunday 6/9

Time: 4:00-5:30

Cost; $35

Breath by James Nestor

“A fascinating scientific, cultural, spiritual, and evolutionary history of the way humans breathe—and how we’ve all been doing it wrong for a long, long time. I already feel calmer and healthier just in the last few days, from making a few simple changes in my breathing, based on what I’ve read…Our breath is a beautiful, healing, mysterious gift, and so is this book.” —Elizabeth Gilbert, author of Big Magic and Eat Pray Love
