Ever wonder why you leave yoga feeling grounded and relaxed? This worksop is designed to give you a framework for understanding the science behind why that happens. The workshop will begin with the anatomy and physiology of the autonomic nervous system and how that applies to the yoga process. Anne will lead us through a vin/yin sequence that will offer a safe place for us to bring awareness to where we are in our nervous system and practical strategies that can be used on and off the mat to help us move out anxious feelings and back to a place of feeling connected to ourselves and others.
This workshop is appropriate for yoga students of all levels, yoga teachers and mental health workers.
